PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT HAS NOW SOLD OUT
An optional conference dinner will take place 28 September at the Palace of São Marcos Coimbra.
The Palace of São Marcos is located 20km from Coimbra. It was built in the mid-20th century over the ruins of an ancient 15th century monastery, and was one of the official residences of the Portuguese royal family, the Dukes of Bragança, from 1954 to 1975. Within the Palace's premises is a church, which combines both the Rococo style with the Portuguese Manueline style. Inside the church is the Chapel of the Reis Magos (The Wise Men), another tourist attraction which dates from 1574. The Palace and its premises have been property of the University of Coimbra since 1981.
Dinner guests will experience a unique evening in this memorable venue with a three course meal with wine and traditional Portuguese musical entertainments provided by Fado de Coimbra.
The event has now sold out. Delegate wishing to attend should contact Richard Hart LINK = firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to a waiting list.
